The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the teams expected to make a major splash in this summer's free agency. They have enough cap space to sign two players to max contracts. They will reportedly go after Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard, and should they be successful in bringing those guys in, they will be instant contenders for years to come.

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer was asked recently about his thoughts on the talent-rich free agency pool this summer, but instead of giving a direct answer, he decided take a shot at the Los Angeles Lakers' front office.

The Lakers have been accused of tampering multiple times over the past couple of seasons. In 2017, Magic Johnson, the team's president of basketball operations, was fined $500,000 for his comments about Paul George during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Then this season, the Philadelphia 76ers and New Orleans Pelicans have requested the league to investigate the Lakers for their recent interactions with Ben Simmons and Anthony Davis respectively.

Just like the Clippers, the Lakers are also looking to bring in another superstar to pair with LeBron James, they also have the cap space and the money to spend. But as of the moment, most people believe that superstars would prefer to sign with the lesser known Los Angeles team.

Both the Clippers and the Lakers will look to improve this summer, but most likely, only one of them will be able to turn their plans into reality.

And at this point, all signs point to the Clippers being that team.
