While he is probably the most silent superstar in the NBA, Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard still has a slew of haters. After all, a lot of his critics will never forget how he forced a trade out of the San Antonio Spurs.
Despite that, however, he also has a legion of fans ready to support him. That much is proven true when a couple of fans cursed at him when the Clippers leader watched the team's summer league game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.
The said fans, who appeared to be a father-and-son duo and Spurs supporters, shouted “F**k Kawhi” while Leonard was in the stands. While the 30-year-old didn't seem to be bothered, a lot of users on Twitter condemned the rude act towards another person.
The father uploaded the video of the incident on Twitter and it received plenty of negative reactions not only from Clippers fans. A lot of people slammed the father and son and question the patriarch for his parenting.

No. Some of us were just raised not to think it’s okay for a child (or anyone for that matter) to yell obscenities at someone who’s just minding their business in public. Trying to blame ppls response on their sensitivity instead of your shitty parenting is weak af.

It's certainly not a great look for fans of teams to see someone be rude and disrespectful to players, even directly confronting them–like what happened to the Clippers star. Moreover, it's not too long ago during the 2021 playoffs when the inappropriate behavior of fans was put into spotlight for spitting on players, throwing pop corn and more classless gestures.

As Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers fan base saw, though, not all supporters are like that. It's just unfortunate that a number of bad apples go over the line and ruin what should have been an enjoyable source of entertainment.
