With the Golden State Warriors out of playoff contention, Draymond Green has all the time in the world to spectate from the sidelines. There's no shortage of commentary coming from Green as NBA postseason action comes at us hot and heavy. The Warriors star caught the rabid ending of the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Utah Jazz Game 1 tilt, which ended with the Jazz pulling off a hard-fought victory, 112-109.

While Utah survived a late scare, Green spoke candidly about the Clippers being in terrific shape after Game 1, despite the loss.

“Donovan taking advantage of the clippers not having any rim protection. Looking forward to seeing T Lue adjustment,” Green said on Twitter. “However, if you are the Clippers, you are leaving Game 1 feeling real good about yourself.”

The Jazz indeed got the W, but it took a herculean effort from Donovan Mitchell to do it. His 45 points buoyed Utah's offense as his supporting cast was relatively tame throughout. None of his teammates broke the 20-point mark, as Mitchell more than doubled everyone else's output. However, as Green noted, Mitchell could follow up his big night if LA continues to play without a rim protector in the paint.

The Clippers meanwhile were coming off an emotional Game 7 win over the Dallas Mavericks to escape the first round. Taking Game 1 in Utah was going to be a tough task, but they were right there and actually led for most of the contest.

Draymond Green's assessment rings true as Kawhi Leonard and Paul George didn't get it going, but they were still one shot away from overtime. Leonard put up a modest 23 points on 9-for-19 shooting, while George had a miserable night from the field, connecting on just four of his 17 attempts. Look for them to find their footing in Game 2.

If Game 1 was any indication, Clippers-Jazz looks like it could very well go seven games. While neither team wants to tire themselves out as they chase a championship, fans like us and Draymond Green won't be complaining one bit.
