After the Los Angeles Clippers got embarrassed by the Memphis Grizzlies and narrowly defeated the New York Knicks, six players met with head coach Doc Rivers to go over film, according to The Athletic.

The six Clippers players were Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, Montrezl Harrell and Maurice Harkless:

The homestand against the Grizzlies and the Knicks was something of a wake-up call for the Clippers. With four days off before their next game, six players — Leonard, George, Williams, Beverley, Harrell and Harkless — met with Doc Rivers for three hours to go over film and discuss what had been plaguing the team, according to sources.

The Clippers are 5-2 since beating the Knicks by just three points at home. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games and have rebounded nicely since that 140-114 loss to the Grizzlies.

The Clippers are 31-14 on the season. They are in third place in the Western Conference standings, but coming off a road loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. Leonard, George and Beverley didn't play.

It’s unknown when George is going to return to the lineup, but one thing we do know is the Clippers are going to be cautious with him since hamstring injuries can flare up at any moment and the franchise needs George to be at 100 percent come playoff time.

George has played in 26 games this season. The six-time All-Star is putting up 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists and shooting 42.9 percent overall, 39.5 percent from the 3-point line and 90.9 percent from the charity stripe.
