Things are not going so well for the L.A. Clippers these days. After a 102-87 loss to the Charlotte Hornets, the Clippers have now lost eight games in a row, and 10 of their last 11 games since starting 4-0 on the season.

The situation has gotten to the point where some drastic changes will likely have to be made. And as The Ringer’s Bill Simmons mused on Twitter, those changes involve either head coach Doc Rivers getting fired or big man DeAndre Jordan being traded.

Those two moves which Simmons suggested seem like the most logical ones for the Clippers to make if they continue to struggle.

Doc Rivers’ job is obviously on the line after such a bad stretch. And since he’s no longer the team’s president of basketball operations, a role which was taken from him last summer, the organization could be more inclined to cut ties with him as their head coach.

Meanwhile, DeAndre Jordan is perhaps the second most valuable asset the Clippers have aside from Blake Griffin and is the more realistic candidate to be moved among the two. Jordan has a player option for the 2018-19 season that will pay him $24.1 million, but he can potentially become a free agent next summer after failing to come to an agreement on a contract extension this year.

The Clippers have reportedly considered trading Jordan in the recent past, and may very well consider finally cashing in on him if things continue to go south on their season.
