Boban Marjanovic, the 7-foot-3 center of the L.A. Clippers has signed up to star in the action thriller John Wick Chapter 3, alongside Keanu Reeves and Halle Berry.

As reported by Jeff Sneider of Collider, the Serbian will play an assassin in the third installment of the John Wick film series. We can only hunch as to what his exact role will be. But given his brute size and strength, his character will definitely utilize these elements.

The film is slated for release in next year’s summer movie season on May 17, 2019. Marjanović will form part of the long list of new cast members. Joining him are Angelica Huston, Jason Mantzoukas, Asia Kate Dillon Hiroyuki Sanada, Mark Dacascos, Tiger Hu Chen, and The Raid duo of Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman.

As stated in the report, the film

Finds John Wick on the run after killing someone in the “safe space” of the Continental Hotel. Now there’s a $14 million dollar open contract on his head, and with his membership revoked, and he has no place to hide in New York City.

Marjanović will also join the list of NBA players who have signed up for movie roles in the past. Some players who have starred in Hollywood films are Michael Jordan in “Space Jam,” Dwight Howard in “Just Wright,” Gheorghe Muresan in “My Giant,” Dirk Nowitzki in “Like Mike,” Dennis Rodman in “Double Team,” Julius Erving in “The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh,” Shaquille O’Neal in “Kazaam,” and Ray Allen in “He Got Game.”
