Like most teams around the NBA landscape, the L.A. Clippers are finalizing their options with regards to this years Draft, which is set for Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. EST. Exactly who the Clippers will choose is still up for debate, but it sounds like they have their eyes on the point guard position.

According to a report from Real GM, the Clippers, who are holding the No. 12 pick in this year's Draft, are interested in several ball handlers, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Trae Young, Collin Sexton, and Jerome Robinson.

Los Angeles (42-40 and 10th in the Western Conference last season) is likely interested in guards due Chris Paul's departure in 2017. Losing a player of his caliber is tough, to be sure. Drafting a point guard may be the team's best option.

During a Yahoo Sports podcast earlier this month, Shams Charania and Chris Mannix reported that the Clippers have interest in trading up in the Draft, noting yet another gifted point guard as a target: Real Madrid stand-out Luka Doncic.

“I think there's a lot of fluidity to this draft,” Charania said. “You could see a lot of pick movement. The Clippers have looked to trade up. I think a guy that they have really looked at heavily is Luka Doncic of Real Madrid. I think it'll be a lot of movement in this draft, potentially.”

Which of these talented players the Clippers will be able to land remains to be seen. Stay tuned to ClutchPoints for more Draft updates as they become available.
