With the 2017-18 NBA season off to an inauspicious start for the Los Angeles Clippers, they have been one of the few teams linked to several trade rumors early on in the year. The Clippers were dealt a huge blow with the departure of superstar point guard Chris Paul. However, the player that seems to have been affected the most is big man DeAndre Jordan.

As a result, Jordan has been at the center of nearly every trade rumor involving the Clippers. Among the teams to reportedly emerge as serious suitors for the All-Star center is the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Gary Woelfel of Racine Journal Times:

Sources said Clipper officials have targeted three Bucks in any deal for Jordan. One is John Henson, who is currently the team’s starting center, while the others are reigning Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, who lost his starting spot when Bledsoe came aboard, and standout swingman Khris Middleton.

The Clippers, I’ve been told, are adamant in acquiring at least two of the aforementioned Bucks and may even demand all three of them.

The Bucks have shown they are not afraid to pull the trigger on potential deals that could help them win now as evidenced by their trade for point guard Eric Bledsoe in early November. The departure of big man Greg Monroe has left the Bucks without a strong presence in the paint, which is one Jordan could easily fill.

That said, the Clippers asking price may be a bit too steep for a All-Star and Olympic Gold winning center. Milwaukee has put in too much effort into building its young core over the years to let it go in one foul swoop. However, if the Bucks are going to take that next step in the playoffs, then they may need to somehow switch things up before then.
