Los Angeles Clippers big man Montrezl Harrell becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason and he's likely looking to get paid handsomely after winning the 2020 Sixth Man of the Year Award.

Harrell made $6 million in 2019-20, so he's certainly aiming to make much more than that moving forward.

However, after getting exposed on the defensive end in the 2020 playoffs, the energetic Clippers forward may not get the huge pay raise he's looking for.

According to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, Harrell’s current annual value on the market is “somewhere between $8 million to $12 million.”

Based on his rough playoff performance, there’s a case to be made that the Clippers should move on from the Sixth Man of the Year, replacing him with a center with better size, defense and rebounding.

Multiple league sources told The Athletic that Harrell’s current annual value on the market is somewhere between $8 million to $12 million, depending on the team, his role and the length of contract.

During the 2019-20 regular season, Montrezl Harrell averaged 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game for the Clippers, who racked up the second-best record in the rugged Western Conference and looked poised to go on a title run with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George leading the way.

However, the Clippers blew a 3-1 series lead to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs. For his part, Harrell struggled in the pick-and-roll against Nuggets stars Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic.

Moreover, the 26-year-old didn't play well on offense either, as he averaged just 11.7 points and had a negative plus-minus in every contest except for Game 1 of the series.

Harrell and George reportedly got into an argument on the Clippers' bench, so that is something to keep in mind as Los Angeles decides if it wants to bring Trez back or not.
