If the Los Angeles Clippers pursue an Anthony Davis trade with the New Orleans Pelicans this summer, they reportedly won't make point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander available in trade talks, according to Bobby Marks of ESPN.

The Clippers are reportedly one of the teams Davis wouldn't mind getting traded to. Davis can become an unrestricted free agent in 2020.

The Clippers don't really have a trade package that figures to be appealing to the Pelicans. The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and Boston Celtics have more attractive assets.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists this season. He shot 47.6 percent from the field, 36.7 percent from beyond the arc and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line.

LA made the playoffs this season in the rugged Western Conference despite not having a single All-Star on the roster. The Clippers took the Golden State Warriors to six games in the first round of the playoffs. Gilgeous-Alexander put up 13.7 points in the six-game series.

The Clippers have cap space to sign two max contract players this summer. They have been heavily linked to Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard, who is from California.

There are also some around the league who believe the Clips have a shot at signing Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant as well.
