Despite the busy offseason they’ve already had, the L.A. Clippers are continuing to make some moves to further strengthen their lineup, and gain more bodies in time for training camp.

That said, it has been reported that the team signed free agent small forward LaDontae Henton to a training camp deal that includes an Exhibit 10 clause. Such clause allows the team to convert his deal to a two-way contract before the season begins, which will eventually allow L.A. to navigate the player to their G-League affiliate and back to the Clippers as necessary.

LaDontae Henton was an undrafted player back on 2015 and has since played overseas in Spain and in the Philippines. Last year, he was signed by the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he appeared for them in 37 games, impressing a lot of scouts with his vastly-improved all-around game.

The 25-year-old Providence product is expected to give his best in competing for a roster spot. The team's small forward position may already be stacked with Danilo Gallinari, Wesley Johnson, and Sam Dekker in their lineup, but Henton fits the mold of players Doc Rivers is looking for as he is versatile enough to play shooting guard as well. Just like the aforementioned players, they all have the ability to fill in different roles, which will allow the veteran head coach to field in different combinations during the season.
