Los Angeles Clippers guard Landry Shamet climbed a pretty high ladder on Friday, throwing down a vicious two-handed hammer over Dallas Mavericks' center Boban Marjanovic.

The amazing highlight took place at the 8-minute mark of the second quarter of Game 3 between the Clippers and Mavericks at AdventHealth Arena.  Following a nice screen from teammate Paul George, Shamet found himself a wide-open lane to the basket.

The 6-foot-4 guard did not let the opportunity come to waste, as he turned on the jets and made his way to the cup where he was met by the towering 7-foot-4 Serbian.

While Shamet is known more as a knockdown shooter, he displayed his athleticism by going up and over Boban's outstretched arm. The Wichita State-alum even absorbed some contact for good measure and completed the 3-point play.

The Clippers, meanwhile, held on to a 68-54 lead at the half. Shamet pitched in eight points and three rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench so far.

The two teams are tied at one win apiece so far in their best-of-seven first-round slugfest. Shamet's surprising performance in Game 3 is certainly a good sign for the Clippers who seek to regain control of the series.
