Patrick Beverley and Derrick Walton Jr. of the L.A. Clippers played some hot potato toward the end of a game to avoid a turnover.

With the game well in the bag for the Clippers against the Indiana Pacers, Beverley and Walton Jr. didn't want to mar their personal stats with a turnover. It would be unprofessional and unsportsmanlike to jack up a shot. So for Beverley and Walton, the most logical thing to do is to play some hot potato.

It's actually a common yet ruthless practice among NBA players. Some are more sneaky in their ways by passing it at the very last second before the clock expires. But the Clipper guards seem to have no knack for subtlety and the result: pure, unadulterated entertainment for hoops fans.
