It doesn't matter if you're down 20 points or up 18, one constant in the NBA world is that Patrick Beverley is going to give 110 percent. The Los Angeles Clippers guard showed that hustle and determination in the third quarter against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

Matched up in the post against 7-foot-1 Suns big man Frank Kaminsky, Beverley refused to back down. As Kaminsky turned over his right should for a jump shot, the 6-foot-1 guard elevated to get a piece of the ball sending the ball back in the face of the Suns center.

Beverley, who was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2017, is averaging 7.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game as the team's starting point guard.

With the help of Beverley, the Clippers have emerged as one of the NBA's top teams. With a 21-8 record and a second-place standing in the Western Conference, the Clippers are expected to compete for a championship in 2020.
