VIDEO: Clippers star Paul George gets away with worst travel vs. Grizzlies

Clippers, Paul George, Grizzlies

The Los Angeles Clippers came out swinging against the Memphis Grizzlies at Staples Center. It seems even the no-calls went in their favor during the dominant win.

Early in the game, when forward Kawhi Leonard came up with a steal and dished it to George on the fastbreak, PG followed it up with a blatant travel before the two-handed flush, via Tomer Azarly.

It is safe to say that George managed to get away with an easy call right there. The dunk would ultimately help spark a dominant opening quarter from the Clippers in which they outscored the Grizzlies 40-14.

Although the obvious travel did conjure up some laughs, it only raised further criticisms that officials have received throughout the course of the 2019-20 NBA season. It is no secret that players have been disgruntled by their performance this year, and plays like these hardly help their case.

Unlike the previous instances, calling a travel on Paul George here would not have had any major impact on the outcome of the Clippers-Grizzlies game.

George finished the game with only seven points, but five other Clippers finished in double figures. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 25 points, eight rebounds and three dimes.
