Gregg Popovich is one of the best coaches in the game, as we can all agree. He understands how to get the best out of each and every player.
Coach Pop knew how to do just that with Kawhi Leonard. Now, he has said that he is going to try to do that same thing with the 1st round draft pick of the San Antonio Spurs this year, Dejounte Murray.
According to Tom Orsborn of the Spurs beat:
Murray said he talked to Pop for 10 minutes tonight. "He told me they want to turn me into a great player like they did Kawhi." #Spurs

That's some promising words that Coach Popovich has given to Dejounte Murray. Kawhi Leonard is currently one of the best players in the league and it didn't take long for him to become a great player once he did enter the league.
Dejounte Murray was a projected lottery pick in many mock drafts. The Spurs were lucky to have them fall to him at the 29th pick. If he puts in the effort that Kawhi had put forth for San Antonio, the sky is the limit in terms of Murray's potential.
