Free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick has not played a single game in the NFL since the 2016 season, and he believes that it’s because of a collusion between the league’s office and teams to keep him unemployed. Kaepernick has already filed a grievance case against the NFL, and to that end, his legal team has requested a number of figures including Jane Goodell, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s wife, to give depositions, according to a report released on Tuesday by Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson.

With the deposition phase of Colin Kaepernick’s grievance against the NFL expected to move forward in the coming weeks, a new name has been added to requests sent out by the former quarterback’s legal team: Jane Goodell, the wife of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Sources with knowledge of the legal wrangling in the grievance told Yahoo Sports that Goodell’s wife was added to a list of deposition requests this week. The addition comes following a sweep of text messages, emails and telephone records by Kaepernick’s legal team over the last two months. Roger Goodell and several league executives were among those asked to turn records over, as well as a handful of NFL team personnel and coaches.

Last October, it was revealed by Andrew Beaton of The Wall Street Journal that Jane Goodell was using a fake Twitter account to defend her husband from critical reports of Roger Goodell’s management of league issues.

Apart from Jane Goodell, Kaepernick’s camp has also put the names of Roger Goodell, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Houston Texans owner Bob McNair, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, and Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh on the deposition list.
