The Indianapolis Colts suffered their fourth-straight loss in Week 14 versus the Buffalo Bills and have since been officially ruled out of the playoffs. Needless to say, the 2017 NFL season has been a year-long struggle starting from the opening week.

Now that the Colts have missed the playoffs for the third year in a row, there has been speculation that head coach Chuck Pagano may be on one of the hottest seats in the NFL. However, Pagano is not letting his uncertain status affect his approach down the final stretch of the year.

By way of ESPN's Mike Wells:

“You know what you got into,” Chuck Pagano said. “That's all I've known forever. The shelf life for these jobs isn't long. You embrace every single opportunity, every single day, every single game to get to go to practice with these guys and grind, work and compete and play games. So it's a blessing. You can't sit there and poo-poo and worry. I'm good. I'm good.”

It should come as no surprise that Pagano is not phased by his cloudy future with the Colts. This was a man who battled Leukemia back in 2012 and still helped lead Indianapolis to a playoff win.

However, that is now a distant memory given all the losing seasons since then. The health of star quarterback Andrew Luck certainly has not helped his cause. Regardless, his firing would not come as too much of a surprise given the current state of the franchise.

With only a few games left, we might be nearing the end of the Chuck Pagano era.
