Indianapolis Colts safety Malik Hooker was having himself an outstanding rookie season. Then, because life is evil, it was cut short on Sunday. According to multiple reports, Hooker suffered a torn ACL and MCL and is done for the year.
Malik Hooker took to the mean streets of Twitter to address the injury:

Hooker, a safety taken 15th overall in this year's draft out of Ohio State, led the Colts with three interceptions in seven games.
For what it is worth, the entire game on Sunday was so mind-boggling in its oddities, that this news might get missed.
Blake Bortles (yes, that one) threw for a season-high 330 yards and one touchdown, and T.J. Yeldon scored on a 58-yard run, leading the Jacksonville Jaguars past the Indianapolis Colts 27-0 on Sunday.
And this game was played in real-life. It wasn't a Madden video game simulation — though, if it were, the Colts would have preferred if the injury setting was turned off.
Here is the play in which the rookie safety got injured:

The Colts have already been dealing with a plethora of guys being out this season. Most notably, gunslinger and alleged Civil War soldier Andrew Luck, who has been missing in action all year. At this point, with Indy's playoff hopes fading quicker than a fan at a Grateful Dead concert, the Colts are probably best served playing for next season.
Here is to hoping that all the injured players on that National Football League roster make a quick and full recovery.
