Indianapolis Colts veteran kicker Adam Vinatieri hinted at a possible retirement from the NFL after Sunday's close win over the Tennessee Titans.

Per The Athletic's Stephen Holder on Twitter, the 46-year-old said he would “hear from him” tomorrow. Vinatieri has been with the Colts since 2006 and entered the league in 1996 with the New England Patriots.

Vinatieri missed two extra-points in the Colts two-point victory over the Titans on Sunday, narrowly forfeiting the contest without the fourth-quarter heroics of quarterback Jacoby Brissett and star wide receiver TY Hilton, who caught a goal line reception to give a late lead for Indy.

After that touchdown, Vinatieri missed his second extra-point of the day, giving hope to the Titans that a field goal could win the game due to the two-point differential.

Should Vinatieri retire, it would make the second high-profile, sudden retirement on the Colts in two months, following franchise quarterback Andrew Luck hanging up his helmet due to stated wear and tear on his body. The 29-year-old won the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year award last season after missing the entire 2017 season, which saw Brissett fill in and the Colts finish 4-12.

The Colts lost Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers, but in spite of Vinatieri's issues—he missed two field goals and one extra-point last week—Brissett and Indianapolis are in the win column with Sunday's road victory over Tennessee.
