Throughout the NFL offseason, Indianapolis Colts star quarterback Andrew Luck has continued to make significant progress in his recovery from his surgically-repaired shoulder that has him on pace to be back on the field for start of the 2018 season.

During this process, Luck has worked closely with his group of wide receivers to build some chemistry on the field for the upcoming campaign. This includes him knocking the rust of his connection with former Pro Bowl wideout T.Y. Hilton that saw him dial it up in practice on Wednesday that showed that the two are firmly back on the same page, George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin.

This is an encouraging sign given that the two had developed a strong connection on the field together over the years that has helped form one of the league's best quarterback-wide receiver duos. Hilton had emerged as one of the best big-play wide receivers in the league with five straight 1,000 receiving yard campaigns prior to the 2017 season. This had included coming off a career-best 2016 campaign where he had career highs with 91 receptions for 1,448 receiving yards while hauling in six touchdowns.

The return of Luck should set the table for Hilton to bounce back with another highly productive season as the clear-cut top receiving option in the passing game. It may play a big part in helping the 28-year-old quickly get back on track toward leading the Colts back to the playoffs after a three-year hiatus.

Indianapolis has added a few other offensive weapons to the puzzle that should that process with tight end Eric Ebron and wide receiver Ryan Grant. More importantly, the fact that Luck has been able to go through the offseason workouts and training camp without experiencing any setbacks in the process bodes well to him stepping back into the fray in 2018 without a hitch.
