Before the start of the NFL free agency, the Philadelphia Eagles traded quarterback Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts, who used to have Andrew Luck, are a team that is arguably a franchise quarterback away from becoming a Super Bowl contender, and they believe they have that in Carson Wentz.

Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton sees some potential in his new quarterback as well, as he shared his thoughts on Wentz during a Zoom conference, per Stephen Holder. Hilton made a surprising comparison between Wentz, and former Colts quarterback, Andrew Luck.

Luck was a superstar who struggles to stay healthy but was capable of making plays out of the pocket. Hilton's comparison makes sense, as we've seen plenty of footage of Wentz running the ball to make the play.

Wentz has a history of playing well, but the last year hasn't gone his way. Comparing him to Andrew Luck is rather bold, but it shows Hilton's confidence in Wentz. Wentz has proven to be a decent starting quarterback, as in 2019, he put together a career season. He ended that year with 4,039 yards, 27 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions.

The problems Wentz has faced were injuries in 2017 and 2018, then just last season, Wentz had the worst year of his career. With a vastly improved offensive line, better receiving group, and a solid running game, the Colts hope to have the best version of Carson Wentz under center.

Wentz is in the best situation he could be in, as he's reunited with Frank Reich, who was the offensive coordinator in Philadelphia during the Eagles' Super Bowl run. If Wentz comes out guns blazing, the Colts could be a problem in the AFC.
