The reactions to the Madden ratings continue to roll in. This time, it's Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard.

Speaking with ESPN on a SportsCenter Special, Leonard was not pleased with his 85 overall rating given to him for Madden 21 by EA Sports.

“I think it sucks honestly,” the Colts LB said. “I think the things that I did for the past two years — two time All-Pro, going to the Pro Bowl, Defensive Rookie of the Year — my resume speaks for itself and not to be in the 90s it definitely sucks, but it is what it is. I just gotta just keep working. That doesn’t make me who I am. Just gotta keep showing day in and day out that I am who I am on the football field and show that I’m one of the top linebackers in the NFL.”

Darius Leonard's accolades are unquestioned and his stats speak for themselves. While his numbers dropped a little from 2018 , he still had a good 2019 season.

Moreover, the Colts star did improve in 2019 when it comes to interceptions, recording five picks — including one he ran back for a touchdown. Those five interceptions were the most by a linebacker in the NFL in the past campaign, which gives him more ammo in his case for a better Madden 21 rating.

Some names that are above him in the ratings that he and his supporters could say are not as good as Leonard include Fred Warner and Kyle Van Noy. It looks and sounds like the Colts youngster is going to use this slight on him by EA to motivate himself going into the 2020 season.
