Darius Leonard has already established himself as one of the best linebackers in football, but the Indianapolis Colts star has not even come close to accomplishing all of his goals.

When asked about his goals, Leonard had a rather ambitious list: win the Super Bowl, win the NFL MVP award and win Defensive Player of the Year, according to Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan.

Leonard added that he met three or four of the goals he wrote down for himself this past year.

While the 24-year-old almost certainly won't hit all of those achievements in one season, it's good that he is setting lofty expectations for both himself and his team heading into 2020.

Leonard, who played his collegiate football at South Carolina State, was originally selected by the Colts in the second round (36th pick overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He played in 15 games during his rookie campaign, racking up 163 tackles, seven sacks, a couple of interceptions, four forced fumbles, a pair of fumble recoveries and eight passes defended. Somehow, Leonard did not make the Pro Bowl, but he earned a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Then, in 2019, Leonard appeared in 13 contests and finished with 121 tackles, five sacks, five picks, two forced fumbles, seven passes defended, and a defensive touchdown, making his first trip to the Pro Bowl.

Indianapolis as a whole, on the other hand, did not get a whole lot done this past season, going just 7-9 and missing the playoffs. Of course, the Colts' poor campaign was a direct result of Andrew Luck announcing his sudden retirement a couple of weeks before the regular season began.
