The Indianapolis Colts witnessed a scary moment on Thursday against the Cleveland Browns in a joint practice. Wide receiver Daurice Foutain sustained a severe injury, dislocating and fracturing his ankle, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The receiver was carted off the field with his leg in a cast.

According to multiple reports, the injury was so gruesome that both Colts and Browns players were seen praying and kneeling by Fountain and practice was halted. He was recently placed on the injured reserve — ending his second NFL season before it started.

But, that's not stopping anything for the receiver. He went to Twitter to talk about his status, saying “I'll be back… don't count me out yet…”

Fountain was released from the hospital on Thursday night, after, head coach Frank Reich said:

“He was released from the hospital last night, Reich said per the Colts official website. “So, yeah, really disappointing for Reece, and especially because he was having such a good camp and really progressing well. But we’ll get behind Reece, and he’ll have this surgery as soon as he can and then get back to recovering, and we’ll support him every way we can. And I think the future’s bright for Daurice, for sure.”

The Colts selected Fountain in the fifth-round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He previously played at Northern Iowa, where he posted 943 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in his final season. In his first year as a pro, he was active for one game.

Luckily, the Colts will not likely waive Fountain; instead, placing him on the injured reserve, which will not affect roster spots.
