The Indianapolis Colts have dealt with their fair share of injuries throughout the course of the 2019 NFL season. Fortunately, it appears reinforcements could soon be on the way.

Funchess has been on injured reserve since breaking his collarbone in the season opener. Head coach Frank Reich says he will be back at practice heading into Week 11. via the team's official Twitter account.

Per Coach Reich, WR Devin Funchess will return to practice today.

Funchess' return is a positive sign that he has made the necessary strides in his recovery. Indianapolis will have some time to decide whether or not they want to activate him to the active roster. Although it remains to be seen if he will be back for this week's showdown with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the fact that Reich is optimistic about his health is certainly encouraging.

The Colts have indicated that quarterback Jacoby Brissett will be back in the mix for their homestand versus the Jaguars. His return should provide a much-needed boost to the offense amidst their recent two-game skid. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether or not wide receiver T.Y. Hilton will be able to make his return from a calf injury.

Hilton's absence has let a notable void in the receiving corps. Brissett will have to find a way to make do with the weapons at his disposal if his No. 1 option is forced to sit out another game. As a result, Indianapolis could very well be inclined to allow Funchess to make his return depending on how he fares in practice this week.
