The Indianapolis Colts are in the position to secure one of the two Wild Card spots heading into the all-or-nothing matchup in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans.

The Colts could be without the services of Pro Bowl tight end Eric Ebron due to a concussion that he suffered Sunday's 28-27 win over the New York Giants as he wasn't able to participate in Wednesday's practice. (h/t Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk)

Ebron said, via Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star, that he will not practice on Wednesday. Ebron suffered a concussion in last Sunday’s victory over the Giants and will need to progress through the protocol before getting the green light to play against the Titans on Sunday night.

The 25-year-old will first have to clear the concussion protocol before he can be on track to play in Week 17. His inability to practice on Wednesday isn't entirely a discouraging sign as he could make progress over the next couple of days toward being able to get back on the practice field.

Ebron has been a huge piece of the puzzle offensively in his first campaign with the Colts as he has a career-high 62 receptions for 690 receiving yards and third in the league with 12 touchdowns. His high level of production has helped him earn his first career Pro Bowl selection.

If he's unable to give it a go in the regular season finale, it will put more reliance in the passing game on wide receivers T.Y. Hilton, Chester Rogers, and Ryan Grant against the stout Titans' defense.
