Indianapolis Colts fans finally have their first glimpse of what veteran quarterback Philip Rivers will look like in the team's traditional blue home uniforms.

Adam Schefter of ESPN tweeted out some images from Rivers' first photo shoot.

The Colts signed the longtime Los Angeles Chargers starter to a one-year deal in free agency, and will hope Rivers can reinvigorate the franchise as a Super Bowl contender.

Rivers went 5-11 in his final year with the Chargers. He still completed 66 percent of his passes for over 4,600 yards, but also had just 23 touchdown passes against 20 interceptions. Moreover, Rivers' 7.1 adjusted yards gained per pass attempt were his fewest since the 2016 campaign, per Pro Football Reference.

Then again, the feisty Rivers is entering into an entirely new situation.

The Chargers had one of the more lackluster offensive lines in 2019, with star left tackle Russell Okung missing 10 games due to injury.

Conversely, the Colts have one of the best offensive lines in football, and also re-signed veteran left tackle Anthony Castonzo.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard also added some players at the skill positions in the draft, selecting former USC wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and star Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor in the second round.

Indy seemed to be a team on the rise before former star quarterback Andrew Luck abruptly announced his retirement last August.

But the Colts still managed to go 7-9 despite a strange quarterback situation, and also made an aggressive play for game-changing defensive tackle DeForest Buckner in the offseason.

Ultimately, however, the Colts might only go as far as Rivers can take them as he hopes to reward Indy's faith in him with a big season.
