After the fiasco involving Josh McDaniels, the Indianapolis Colts have finally found their new head coach. Former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich has agreed to become the team's successor to Chuck Pagano and during the process of his transition back to Indianapolis, the new head coach has received nothing but high praise.

The latest to chime in on Reich is former Colts general manager and current NFL analyst, Bill Polian. The 75-year-old talked about Reich and how the team got the right guy to lead this team moving forward, via Mike Chappell of Fox 59.

“He’s everything you want, and more,’’ Polian told Indy Sports Central Sunday evening. “He’s football. He’s family. He’s as fine a young man as I’ve ever come across. He’s an inspirational leader. He’s a quarterback expert; Andrew Luck is going to love working with him. He’s an outstanding offensive coordinator.

“The Colts got the best of the bargain, that’s for sure.’’

After bouncing around the NFL quite a bit, Reich, the former quarterback out of Maryland seems to have found a home in Indianapolis. Reich has been on the coaching staff of four teams before returning to where his coaching career began with the Colts.

The 56-year-old had stints with the Arizona Cardinals, then-San Diego Chargers, and Eagles before returning to Indianapolis for his first head coaching gig in the league. Although Reich has received praise from Polian, and even Peyton Manning almost a decade ago during his first stint with the team as quarterbacks coach, it remains to be seen if he's truly the right man for the job.

Reich will have his hands full in Indianapolis as he tries to right the ship for a team that has struggled without Andrew Luck under center.
