After the fiasco of dealing with Josh McDaniels suddenly pulling out of an agreement to become their new head coach, the Indianapolis Colts brass has been scrambling to pick up the pieces to find Chuck Pagano's successor.

Fortunately for Indianapolis, it didn't take too long before they found their man. According to NFL.com, Frank Reich, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles, has agreed to become the team's new head coach.

Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich has agreed to become the Colts' head coach, a source informed of the situation told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Indy's decision wraps up a whirlwind coaching search for the Colts after New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels withdrew from an announced agreement become the team's head coach on Tuesday.

The Colts interviewed a few candidates for the job following McDaniels' decision to pass on the opportunity and return to the New England Patriots. General manager Chris Ballard spoke with two candidates in particular, via NFL.com.

Reich, 56, emerged as the favorite for the job after meeting with Colts general manager Chris Ballard on Friday. The Colts also interviewed New Orleans Saints assistant head coach/tight ends Dan Campbell and Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier.

With Indianapolis having their new head coach in place, the team will turn its attention to getting Andrew Luck healthy and back on the field while also upgrading the team on both sides of the football in preparation for the 2018 NFL season.

Luck's health will be a hot topic of discussion throughout the offseason once again with doubts surrounding his long-term future.
