No Andrew Luck? No problem.

The Indianapolis Colts have gotten off to a 2-1 start on the season, most recently defeating the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 27-24 on Sunday.

Jacoby Brissett was very impressive in the win, completing 28 of his 37 passes for 310 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

Afterward, Colts head coach Frank Reich raved about Brissett's performance.

“You can’t play quarterback much better than he played today,’’ said Reich, according to Mike Chappell of CBS 4 Indy. “Just like when we’re running it and we’re gaining yards every time we call a run, when the quarterback gets hot like that, we’ve got to have the flexibility as an offense to ride the hot hand and this week it was Jacoby.”

Still, Reich was also careful not to get too carried away.

“As great as he played today, this is one game,’’ Reich said. “This is the standard. Not that you can play this great every week, but this is what you expect, and he delivered.’’

For a guy who was thrust into the starting quarterback role just two weeks before the season opener, this was certainly a magnificent outing, and it could be a sign of things to come for an Indianapolis team that finds itself tied with the Houston Texans for first place in the AFC South.

The Colts will also have a great shot of getting to 3-1 next week, as they will play host to the Oakland Raiders next Sunday. After that, Indy will head on the road for a Divisional Round playoff rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
