The Indianapolis Colts have signed wide receiver Dontrelle Inman, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

This will mark Inman's second stint with the Colts, as he played in nine games with the club in 2018, logging 28 catches for 304 yards and three touchdowns.

Inman signed with the New England Patriots this past offseason, but he was cut by the team in August. He then landed with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he appeared in four contests and tallied eight grabs for 132 yards before being waived in late November.

Given all of the injuries that have befallen the Colts' receiving corps this season, Inman's signing does not come as a surprise.

To say that the Colts have been ravaged by health issues in 2019 would be an understatement.

As far as injuries to their receivers go, Indy lost prized offseason pickup Devin Funchess in Week 1 due to a collarbone injury. T.Y. Hilton has been sidelined with a calf issue. Parris Campbell is out for the season with a broken hand.

In addition, tight end Eric Ebron was placed on injured reserve list as a result of ankle issues.

Obviously, young quarterback Jacoby Brissett has been extremely limited in his options for much of the season, which has certainly contributed to his second-half struggles.

While Inman is far from a top-flight receiver, he does have some decent production on his resume, like back in 2016 when he caught 58 passes for 810 yards and four scores during his first go-around with the Chargers.

The Colts have lost three straight games to fall to 6-7 on the year.
