The Indianapolis Colts will have a few decisions to make during the offseason, but they seem to have their minds made up for Eric Ebron's future. Barring an unforeseen change, Indianapolis will move on from Ebron in 2020.

On Thursday morning, general manager Chris Ballard held a conference to speak about what is ahead for the Colts. During the press conference, Ballard was asked whether or not the team would retain Ebron.

Ballard quickly responded with, “We'll probably move on” and proceeded to field other questions from reporters. The short and precise comments left no doubt that Indianapolis is ready to move forward without Ebron on the roster.

The Colts signed Ebron before the 2018 season after he spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Detroit Lions. In his first season with the Colts, he corralled 66 receptions for 750 yards and 13 touchdowns. All of those numbers were career highs for the tight end out of North Carolina.

But in his second season with the Colts, his production took a massive dip. The pass-catching tight end finished the 2019 season with only 31 catches for 375 yards and three touchdowns.

Above all, Ebron informed the team that he could no longer “bear the pain” that was in his ankle. The Colts were taken aback by the news and decided to place Ebron on injured reserve—effectively ending his season.

There are plenty of questions to be answered in accordance with Indianapolis' roster in 2020. Among them, the front office seems to be in agreement that 2019 was Ebron's last year with the Colts.
