In hopes of combating the coronavirus pandemic, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay will be donating 10,000 masks to medical personnel. The Colts owner is donating the N95 masks to the Indiana State Department of Health to be distributed to the hospitals.

“Just procured 10,000+ masks ( N-95) and am passing them along to Indiana State Dept. of Health for distribution as most urgently needed. #INthistogether,” Irsay tweeted.

Many U.S. hospitals have run into a shortage of N95 masks because the virus has been rapidly spreading across the country. This past week, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft sent his team plane to China to retrieve 1.2 million masks for U.S. hospitals.

Nevertheless, Irsay of the Colts has been extremely supportive since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. Just this past month, Irsay gave $1 million to the Gleaners Food Bank in Indianapolis to help in relief efforts. He's also been sharing positive messages to those affected by the coronavirus outbreak on his Twitter account.

According to the Indiana Government database, Indiana has had 4,411 coronavirus cases and 127 deaths as of Sunday Evening. Since the season doesn’t start until September, the NFL hasn’t made a decision to postpone games for the Colts and the other 31 teams in the league.

However, it’s possible some preseason games involving the Colts and other teams may be canceled since they start in August. Needless to say, President Donald Trump thinks that the situation will be contained before September.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's NFL Draft will have some changes for the Colts and everyone else. There are some reports that the NFL plans on hosting the draft in a TV-studio setting.
