The Indianapolis Colts won their Week 2 game over the Tennessee Titans and everything seemed to be going great. Until after the game, Darius Leonard began to show symptoms of a concussion and is now in concussion protocol.

Throughout the game, Leonard appeared to be healthy as he was able to corral 10 tackles and a sack. It's unknown on when the second-year linebacker sustained the injury but he didn't begin to show any signs of a concussion until after the game.

Due to being placed in the concussion protocol, Leonard will need to pass various tests throughout the week to play next Sunday. Frank Reich will likely play it cautious with his standout linebacker in practice this week.

As for Leonard, the Colts' defensive play-caller is crucial to what Indianapolis wants to do on defense. Through two weeks in the season, Leonard has accumulated 18 tackles, one sack, and a pass deflection.

The Colts drafted Leonard with the 36th overall pick in last year's draft out of South Carolina State. When Indianapolis selected him in the second round, they believed he could become a mainstay in their defense.

It turns out they weren't wrong in their analysis on him; with Leonard tallying 163 tackles, seven sacks, two interceptions, and four forced fumbles in his rookie season. Leonard was named the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2018 and many are expecting to standout this year as well.

The 24-year-old linebacker will need to overcome a minor setback as he attempts to repeat the success of his 2018 season.
