Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has played well enough to earn the third-best quarterback grade of the NFL season from Pro Football Focus.

Luck was the catalyst in helping the team completely turn its season around after a 1-5 start, with the Colts winning eight of their last nine games heading into Saturday's AFC Wild Card matchup against the Houston Texans.

Given Luck's impressive efforts, it's no surprise to see him graded as one of Pro Football Focus' top quarterbacks of the season, with only New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes earning better numbers.

Luck threw for 4,593 yards and 39 touchdowns during the regular season, which allowed him to compile a 98.7 quarterback rating.

His ability to play at such a high level even with numerous offensive players dealing with injuries throughout the year says a lot about his overall abilities, and it should also give Indy fans plenty of confidence entering the third meeting of the season with the Texans.

Houston won the Week 4 matchup in overtime, but the Colts returned the favor in what was essentially a must-win situation in Week 14 at NRG Stadium.

Considering how well the Colts have been playing, it wouldn't be shocking at all to see them keep their momentum going in yet another crucial game on the road.

They delivered in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans, and they are certainly capable of doing the exact same thing this weekend against one of their other AFC South rivals.
