Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers has a big decision to make this offseason regarding his future in the NFL. The veteran is facing two options: return to the Colts or retire.

The 39-year-old playmaker signed a one-year, $25 million deal in the offseason to play for the Colts in 2020. Rivers hasn't disappointed, amassing 4,005 passing yards on 517 attempts and 23 scoring touchdowns through 15 games played this season. Unfortunately, Indy is currently on the outside looking in of the playoff picture despite a 10-5 record.

The Colts can still get in the postseason if they win their final matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars and get some help. While the Jaguars' only win of the season came in Week 1 against Indy, the Colts shouldn't have much problem getting a win this time around.

Indy can win the AFC South with a victory and a Tennessee Titans loss. If both the Colts and Titans win, one of the Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins or Cleveland Browns must lose (or tie) for Indy to get in.

Having one last shot for a Super Bowl title to cap off his illustrious career would be a hard thing to turn down for the veteran playmaker. However, after garnering eight Pro Bowl appearances through 17 seasons in the league, Philip Rivers will still end up as one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game if he decides to retire by the end of the season. We'll have to wait and see what he winds up deciding to do.
