The Indianapolis Colts came up with a huge 41-21 victory against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. After the game, Colts star QB Philip Rivers was asked about his team's recent roll, but being the extreme competitor that he is, the 38-year-old veteran admitted they are currently far from satisfied.

After leading his team to victory against the Lions, Rivers provided some insight as to what he thought about the recent win:

Clearly, Rivers is not one who likes to rest on his laurels, which is the right mindset. The Colts are currently in a heated battle at the top of the AFC South, tied with the Tennessee Titans with a 5-2 record.

For his part, Rivers completed 22-of-33 passes on Sunday for 262 yards while also throwing three touchdowns. It is worth noting that this is the eight-time Pro-Bowler's second consecutive game with three TDs. Clearly, Rivers is trending up of late.

As Rivers stated in his postgame interview, things are only going to get tougher for the Colts from here on out. This starts with a Week 9 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. They get the Titans the following week, and then the Green Bay Packers after that.

Needless to say, Rivers will need to be at the top of his game if he hopes to help the Colts to a string of victories over the next few weeks.
