Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers led from the forefront of his team in their uphill battle in a Week 6 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. After falling behind by 21 points, the Colts needed to mount the largest regular-season comeback in franchise history to run away with the 31-27 victory.

The long-time veteran spoke on his team's resilience when they found themselves trailing all throughout the game:

“There really was no panic,” Rivers said, via Mike Chappell of WTTV. “I’m new to these experiences with this football team. The culture and everything is set. I wasn’t feeling any panic from anyone.”

The Colts used a huge 21-point scoring outburst in the second quarter to get back in the mix of things and finished with 10 unanswered points in the final frame to seal their fourth win this season.

Philip Rivers remained cool all throughout the game and generated 371 passing yards on 29-of-44 passes completed including three touchdown passes for the Colts. Rookie running back Jonathan Taylor produced 60 rushing yards on 12 carries while wide receiver Marcus Johnson wounded up with 108 receiving yards on 5 receptions of his own.

Tight end Trey Burton and wide receiver Zach Paschal both joined the scoring party while tight end Jack Doyle found the end zone on the first play of the fourth quarter to score the go-ahead 14-yard touchdown for his team.

A balanced attack fended off the brave Bengals who were eager to grab their second win led by rookie playmaker Joe Burrow who tallied 313 passing yards on a 25-of-39 passing clip.

The Colts now improve to a 4-2 record to finish in second place of the AFC South while the Bengals dropped to a 1-4-1 record for the cellar-dwelling spot in the AFC North division.

The Indy-based squad will have a bye and proceed to face their next task in the Detroit Lions in Week 8 proceedings.
