Often times in the NFL the highlighted matchups include two star quarterbacks or a top tier wideout going up against a top tier cornerback. In Week 2, one of the premier matchups will feature NFL All-Pro offensive lineman Quenton Nelson of the Indianapolis Colts against three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams.

On Friday, Nelson spoke on the upcoming matchup, via Zak Keefer of The Athletic.

“This is what you prepare for in the off-season, matchups like these. It’s a matchup you look forward to. Lot of respect (for Donald).”

With the Colts, Nelson is arguably the best offensive lineman in the entire league. With the Rams, Donald has been a constant disruptor for opposing offenses for years now and is one of, if not the best defensive player in the league.

Nelson had a tough offseason and underwent surgery on his foot but recovered in a fairly remarkable amount of time to play in Week 1 for the Colts against the Seattle Seahawks. While the foot seems to be fine, the all-pro is now dealing with a back injury that continues to flare up.
