Indianapolis Colts have undergone some major changes this offseason with the new coaching staff. As a result, it seems they are looking to keep a few familiar faces around.

Last year, the Colts brought in former defensive end Robert Mathis to help coach up the defensive line. According to NFL Network's James Palmer, they will also have former wide receiver Reggie Wayne give a few tips to the wideouts as well:

Reggie Wayne has joined the Colts as a volunteer coach to work with receivers. Another former player, Robert Mathis, is in his second season as a pass rush consultant.

It goes without saying that both players were an integral part of the most successful stint in franchise history. That said, their pedigree as champions and former members of the team can pay huge dividends for helping to build a winning culture. Wayne certainly checks out all the boxes.

The Colts had taken the former Miami product with the 30th overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. The addition of Wayne gave Indianapolis another dynamic option in the passing game across from wide receiver Marvin Harrison. They would ultimately become the most formidable receiving duo in NFL history alongside quarterback Peyton Manning.

Wayne finished his career as the most decorated wideout in franchise history behind Harrison. Not to mention, six trips to the Pro Bowl, three All-Pro selection and a Super Bowl.

That said, he has plenty to offer this young group of wide receivers the Colts have now. Although T.Y. Hilton has easily established himself as a prime No. 1 option, the team is still in need of more weapons to surround quarterback Andrew Luck.
