Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is returning to the practice field on Thursday, according to Zak Keefer of The Athletic. Hilton has played in only one of the last six games, as he has dealt with a calf injury, and this is a good sign that maybe he could get back in a game as early as Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints.

The Colts are almost mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, which made some question if Hilton would go to IR and hang up the cleats for the rest of the season.

Hilton was asked and made it very clear it wouldn't matter what the team's record was. If he can play he is going to be on the field.

“I would never quit on my team,’’ Hilton said via Mike Campell of Fox59. “I signed up for 16 games. Some guys may shut it down and call it quits. I don’t do that.’’

Hilton also said on Wednesday that he didn't have to practice to get on the field on Monday. If he could get on the practice field it was just an added bonus.

“No,’’ Hilton said. “Just gives me another day (of rehab). The extra day will help.”

“If I can go out there and practice, it’s a bonus. If I can’t, if I’m feeling good on Monday, then I’ll go out there and play. If not, just wait until next week.’’

The Colts are 1-9 in games that Hilton hasn't played since he came into the league, so getting him back on Monday would be a big boost.
