In the last few days, the Indianapolis Colts have had some significant development in the recovery process from a hamstring injury for Pro Bowl wide receiver T.Y. Hilton as he has been able to take part in practice fully on Wednesday.

This has created some strong level of optimism about the situation as Hilton has voiced on Thursday morning that he his hamstring feels better than expected after going through a full participation without any limitations, according to Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan.

There isn't any clarity as to how that will impact his availability for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it does put that possibility out there. Hilton will first have to show that he can make through more practices this week without any hindrance before the conversations of him playing can gain any ground over the next few days.

In the meantime, it doesn't look like he is far off from making his return to the field. Hilton had been able to play the first four games of the year where he had been off a promising start 21 catches for 294 receiving yards and two touchdowns through the first four games.

This had seen him put together his best outing of the year in his last game before the injury recording four catches for a season-high 115 receiving yards against the Houston Texans. In his absence, the Colts have leaned more heavily upon tight end Eric Ebron and wide receiver Chester Rodgers in the passing game.

Hilton's return would provide a major boost to the offense as he has been star quarterback Andrew Luck's primary target over the last several years as he's proven to be a legitimate deep-ball threat and a big-play receiver. If he's unable to play, the Colts will continue to give Ebron and Rodgers bigger roles in the offense.
