Over the years, fantasy football has become a major part of the NFL scene with there being millions of fans and even players alike to join in on the fun by participating in leagues with their friends and colleagues.

Among those is Indianapolis tight end Eric Ebron is among those has been a part of that as he had an intriguing scenario play out. During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Ebron revealed that he had lost to his best friend one week because of the performance that he put up himself against the New England Patriots.

“I usually play fantasy football and I usually draft myself but my best friend beat me with myself this year. He has kept me in the lineup the whole time. When I played him is when I had that 31 points or whatever in fantasy against the Patriots. I was playing him that day and I lost and was pissed off but it's all good. That's the world we all live in.”

The game in question was on Oct. 4 as he has had a huge performance with nine catches for 105 receiving yards and two touchdowns that netted fantasy owners a huge amount of points. It is a hilarious spin on it that he had lost against his friend due to himself putting up a big outing.

There have been stories about other NFL players encountering similar situations such as former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck betting against himself in one week where he benched himself and put up a huge performance that could have won his weekly matchup.

Fantasy football is often a game of just making the right call and Ebron's friend was able to do that by putting him in the starting lineup that week. Ultimately, this just all speaks to craze that this has become around the league.
