The Indianapolis Colts took an easy 21-0 lead against the Houston Texans in their first round matchup of the playoffs.
Former NFL head coach Tony Dungy went to Twitter to praise the Colts' defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus' in-game coaching. As a former coach, he notices the little things that make the whole team play more cohesively as a whole.
I loved what I saw after that last 3rd down stop by the Colts—DC Matt Eberflus telling Darius Leonard he didn’t hit the ball carrier with the proper shoulder. It didn’t cost them but that’s why they’re playing so well. Up 21-0 but still on top of the details.

The fact that the Colts are still showing the effort to keep the lead after so easily gaining it shows the kind of team they are. They work hard and put in the extra-effort even when they don't need to, and that goes to show how far they'll be able to get through the playoffs.
Coming out of the regular season, the Colts snuck into the playoffs as a wild-card team. It took a four-game winning streak to make it into the playoffs. They went 10-6 on the season and ended up finishing only second in their AFC South Division.
They're pretty well-balanced team themselves. They came into this season with a rejuvenated defensive mindset. They averaged around 27.1 points per game, which ranked 5th overall throughout the entire league.
Their defense has mightily improved this season showing that they can be a real force in the playoffs. They allowed only 21.5 points per game, which ranked 10th overall in the NFL.
The winner of the Texans and Colts matchup will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs had a first-round bye.
They ended up going 12-4 on the season on the back of second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes winning the AFC West Division handily.
