The Indianapolis Colts have been without quarterback Andrew Luck during training camp due to a calf strain. Fortunately, his absence has had little impact on the performance of wide receiver T.Y. Hilton.

Reports at a camp suggest Hilton has been his usual dominant self. According to Zak Keefer of The Athletic, he admits it may be the best one he has had thus far in his career:

Asked TY Hilton if this was the best camp he’s had in his 8-year career. “I think so,” he said.

Then he dropped this stat: He’s caught 29 of 30 targets in live sessions. (Rock Ya-Sin had the lone breakup.) No one on this offense has looked better, and it’s not close.

This is certainly quite the statement from Hilton considering how long he has been in the league. Perhaps even more impressive is that it has come while quarterback Jacoby Brissett was under center. This only raises expectations even higher for Luck's return.

It is safe to say that Hilton may be looking to kick things up a notch. Expectations are now as high as ever in Indianapolis following their successful resurgence in the 2018 campaign. Although the speedster was no stranger to injury last year, he still managed to fight through and produce one of the best seasons of his career.

Luck's absence will undoubtedly continue to serve as an area of concern until he is able to make his return to practice. Regardless, the Colts can take solace in the fact that Hilton will be at the top of his game once he does.
