The Indianapolis Colts are heading into Week 14 action against the Houston Texans with their eyes fixated on bouncing back from a disappointing shutout 6-0 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Indianapolis may potentially go into that game without their primary offensive weapon in the passing game as former Pro Bowl wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is dealing with a shoulder injury. According to Andrew Walker of Colts.com, head coach Frank Reich voiced on Friday that there is a sense of optimism around Hilton's situation that has made him a game-time decision for Sunday's game.

Hilton has dealt with nagging injuries throughout much of this season that has limited his availability on the field as he has played 10 games this season. When healthy, he has proven to be a huge factor in the passing game over the years as the top receiving option that has once again been the case in the 2018 campaign as he has tallied 53 catches for 787 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 10 games played. Hilton has record three 100 receiving yard performances while notching more than 50 receiving yards all but three times.

His presence in the passing game provides a tremendous lift and helps star quarterback Andrew Luck move the ball down the field effectively as it opens up plays for other targets such as tight end Eric Ebron, wide receiver Ryan Grant, and wideout Chester Rogers. If he were to miss Sunday's game, it would see more ball thrown in the direction of the other receiving threat primarily Ebron, who has become a real red zone threat as he has hauled in 11 receiving touchdowns, which is currently the second-highest total in the league.

Ultimately, there should be more clarity on Hilton's health over the next couple of days that give a stronger indicator of where he's at physically.
