The Indianapolis Colts are in need of some depth in their receiving corps, and Stephen Holder of The Athletic thinks that Nelson Agholor could be the answer.

Holder says that Agholor has already been linked to the Colts, noting that head coach Frank Reich was the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive coordinator during Agholor's most productive seasons with the Eagles.

In addition, Indianapolis wide receivers coach Mike Groh was Agholor's wide receivers coach in Philadelphia in 2017.

So, obviously, there is plenty of familiarity between Agholor and the Colts' coaching staff.

Agholor is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played 11 games and logged 39 catches for 363 yards and three touchdowns in what was his least productive season since 2016.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Southern California, was originally selected by the Eagles in the first round (20th pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He appeared in 13 contests during his rookie season, registering 23 catches for 283 yards and a score. The following year, Agholor's role increased ever so slightly, as he finished with 36 grabs for 365 yards while reaching the end zone twice.

Then, in 2017, Agholor broke out, hauling in 62 receptions for 768 yards and eight touchdowns. He posted similar numbers in 2018, snaring 64 balls for 736 yards and four scores.

Philly is not expected to retain Agholor, who dealt with injuries and struggled as a whole this past season.

Indy entered 2019 with T.Y. Hilton and Devin Funchess as its top two receivers, but Funchess suffered a season-ending collarbone injury in Week 1, and Hilton was also banged up throughout the year.
