Conor McGregor is still in hospital bed following his surgery for the broken left leg he suffered in UFC 264, but it didn't stop him from talking trash and calling out his nemesis in Dustin Poirier.

The Irishman provided an update on his injury and subsequent surgery, noting that it was a “clean break of the tibia.” He then mentioned that he will be in crutches for six weeks before being able to start his recovery and rehab. According to his manager Audie Attar, The Notorious underwent three hours of surgery to repair the fractures on his tibia and fibula.

Aside from his injury status, though, McGregor did not forget to play down the win of Poirier and even called it “illegitimate.” The Dublin native added that the American MMA fighter would have been exposed in the second round of their bout had he not get injured.

To recall, Conor McGregor did not go past the first round of UFC 264 in Las Vegas after he broke his leg in Round 1. Dustin Poirier was declared winner via doctor's stoppage, though McGregor emphasized he was not knocked out after the fight.

Poirier claimed that his checks on McGregor's kicks early in the fight caused his legs to crack, which eventually led to the injury. While McGregor has vehemently denied it, he can't do anything about the results of the bout since he was unable to continue.

Hopefully, there will be a Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier 4 so that the two can finally settle their score and show who is the better fighter.
