Conor McGregor had some visible battle scars after getting knocked out by Dustin Poirier in the main event of their Lightweight bout at UFC 257 on Saturday. Apart from the bruises on his face, the former two-division world champion was seen gingerly leaving the Etihad Arena at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi with a crutch on his right leg.

Dustin Poirier's impeccable game plan certainly had a lot to do with why Conor McGregor had a busted leg after the match. The Diamond methodically attacked the Irishman's lead leg throughout the first round, which greatly hindered his movement.

McGregor, of course, is known for that laser left-hand and his ability to create angles with his terrific footwork. Having fought The Notorious before, Poirier obviously understood this and took away one of his main weapons. Dustin's brutal assault of Conor's lower body continued in the early goings of round 2, which set up that fight-ending combination.

Conor McGregor, meanwhile, has already expressed his desire to fight again sometime this year. He said post-match that his inactivity from fighting greatly hindered his performance. The former two-division champion, however, must heal up quickly in he wants to bounce back soon.
